A motorist has been dragged along a street as he attempted to stop a thief stealing his car.
The 64-year-old was thrown to the ground as his blue Peugeot 307 was reversed away.
The thief sneaked up on the man as he was preparing to move the car into a garage at his home in Pilsley near Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
The man, from Hardstoft Road in the village, suffered injuries to his face and shoulder and was taken to hospital.
Police say the car was last seen heading towards the M1 at Tibshelf.
A police spokesman said: "It appears that the thief jumped into the vehicle as the 64-year-old still had hold of a door and reversed away at speed."
