A motorcyclist has died after colliding with two lorries in Dorset.
The man, in his 30s, was rushed to hospital with very serious head injuries following the smash on Tuesday morning.
Despite attempts to save his life, he died shortly after 1200 BST at Poole General Hospital.
The accident happened shortly before 0700 BST on the A350 into Poole, when he hit a refrigerated van and a seven-and-a-half metric ton articulated lorry.
Treated for shock
The two lorry drivers, from the Poole and Southampton area, were treated at the scene for shock.
A man on a mobile phone called 999 to report that a motorcyclist had hit an articulated lorry just south of Sturminster Marshall.
The road was completely blocked between the Roundhouse roundabout and the A350 turnoff at Coombe Almer, about a mile away.
Police, ambulance and fire service personnel were quickly on the scene and the injured man, who is from the Blandford area, was taken to Poole General Hospital.
They are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.
