Floods hit Indian state
Floods in the eastern Indian state of Orissa have killed another eight people, bringing the total since Sunday to 17.

About three million people hae been affected by the weeklong flooding caused by monsoon rains.

Rain has caused river banks to burst at more that 600 places.

On Sunday the authorities in Orissa called in the army to help deal with the floods.
