Fame Academy winner David Sneddon is preparing for his new role as a stand-in presenter on BBC One's The Saturday Show.
The 24-year-old singer-songwriter says he is nervous about his two-week stint
on the children's morning series alongside Fearne Cotton.
The performer, who is replacing presenter Simon Grant while he is on holiday,
said: "I just intend to have a laugh and I'm willing to do anything."
"Come Saturday morning, I'm going to be nervous. I'm really looking
forward to it though, it's not something I ever thought I would do.
"It's live and it's the biggest kids' Saturday show so it's all a bit daunting."
'Dream'
He said the TV presenting stint would not mean he is dropping his plans for pop success.
The presenting duo takes a break

"I've spent years trying to become a musician, that's been my dream
since I was a kid - all I've got eyes for is music.
"If the recording career didn't work out, I would be happy working in the
background in music."
Sneddon won last year's BBC talent search Fame Academy, winning a £1m recording contract and a 12-month pop star lifestyle.
His latest single Best of Order is released on 11 August.
He adds: "I'm enjoying my new life - I love the music side of it, all the
gigs, the recording and the writing."
A second series of Fame Academy is due to start on BBC One soon, beginning later this month or early in August.
