Teenager kidnapped at knifepoint
A teenager was kidnapped at knifepoint and subjected to racial abuse by a gang in Manchester.

The 15-year-old Asian boy was targeted by three men at Urmston Lane, Stretford.

He was waiting at a bus stop at about 1930 BST on Thursday, when one of the men grabbed him in a headlock.

He held a knife to the teenager's back and dragged him on to the 255 bus to Partington.

Two accomplices pushed the boy to the back of the bus, where they threatened him and subjected him to racial abuse.

The men eventually got up and tried to assault the teenager before getting off the bus.

A Greater Manchester Police spokeswoman said: "Thankfully the victim was not injured, but he has been left extremely shaken by what happened to him.

"The whole ordeal lasted for over an hour, during which the teenager was subjected to constant threats and racial abuse."

Officers want to speak to anyone who was on the 255 bus to Partington and saw the men, or who saw them approach the boy at the bus stop.

Covered faces

They also want a passer-by who helped the teenager get home, to get in touch.

The man with the knife was white, 6ft tall, medium build with blond eyebrows and brown eyes. He was wearing a black hooded top with a scarf around his face, black tracksuit bottoms and trainers.

The other two men were white, about 5ft 8ins tall, medium build, were wearing dark clothes and had scarves across their faces.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police at Stretford, or call Crimestoppers.
