Missing diver named
Lifeboat
Holyhead coastguards were involved in the search
A 43-year-old missing diver feared drowned off the north coast of Anglesey has been named.

Richard Hartley, who is from Bradford, was in a party of seven - including his brother - who were exploring the Cambank shipwreck about three miles from the coast.

Mr Hartley was reported missing on Thursday after failing to resurface in the area where he was diving.

The search for the father-of-two was called off on Friday.

Two lifeboats, coastguard teams and an RAF rescue helicopter from RAF Valley took part in the full-scale search.

Coastguards had plotted the diver's possible location through a computer.

The dive vessel, Endeavour, was used to return to the wreck to search further.

An RAF helicopter from Valley on the island also scoured the north coast of Anglesey in case he made it ashore during Thursday night.

A total of 400 square miles of coastline was searched by coastguards and the helicopter, but with no success.
