Woman remanded after attack

A woman has been remanded in custody after being charged in connection with an attack on a pensioner.

The 90-year-old man was assaulted in Jubilee Close in Westbury at around 2100 BST on Tuesday.

He was taken to Bath's Royal United Hospital with head injuries, where his condition is said to be stable.

A 23-year-old woman, arrested on Wednesday, appeared before North Wiltshire magistrates on Thursday.

She has been charged with grievous bodily harm and two counts of theft.

She was remanded in custody to appear before Swindon Crown Court on the 25July.
