Police have charged two teenagers after a woman was attacked in her home by an assailant wielding a claw hammer.
The 15-year-old girl and 16-year-old boy, both from Ryde on the Isle of Wight, were arrested on Friday.
The boy has been charged with indecent assault, burglary and aggravated burglary; while the girl has been charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice.
The girl has been released on police bail, while the boy remains in custody.
The woman was attacked and her home ransacked on Wednesday evening, in Swanmore, Ryde.
She suffered bruising to her face and cuts to her arm during the attack and was treated in hospital.
