Woman attacked by burglar

A burglar punched a woman in the face as he made his escape from her Bristol home.

The woman woke up about 0600 BST on Thursday to find an Alsatian dog and a man in her home on Frenchay Common.

She followed them both out of the house, and was attacked as the man left.

He is described as white, in his mid 20s and of medium build.

He was wearing a tracksuit and baseball cap.

Police are appealing for information.
