A man has died after apparently pouring petrol on himself in the street and setting it alight.
Emergency crews found Rizwaan Akram, 23, in Cromford Road in Chaddesden, Derby suffering from serious burns on Wednesday.
He was taken to the Derbyshire Royal Infirmary at 1726 BST where he was treated in intensive care but he died later.
It is believed Mr Akram who was married killed himself after a row with his girlfriend who lived on the street.
Neighbours battled in vain to put out the flames but they were unable to help the man, who lived on Temple Street in Derby.
Detectives and fire service investigators have launched an inquiry but say they are not treating it as suspicious.
An inquest into his death was opened and adjourned at Derby Coroner's Court on Friday.
