Police in the Pakistani city of Hyderabad say that 12 people were injured, three critically, when a bomb exploded outside a hospital maternity ward.
The victims are believed to have been patients' relatives who were sitting on a veranda at the Liqat Medical College Hospital when the bomb exploded.
A senior police officer told the BBC that local criminal gangs had carried out what he called a terrorist act, to demonstrate their power by sabotaging the peace in the city.
There have been at least two bomb attacks on buses in Hyderabad in recent months.
