German boy's nose broken in attack
Brighton Pavilion Gardens
The attack happened in Brighton's Pavilion Gardens
A 15-year-old foreign student had his nose broken after being attacked by a group of English youths by Brighton Pavilion.

The German boy was set upon in broad daylight by four boys aged about 18, Sussex Police said.

The student was sitting in the Pavilion Gardens with a group of friends at about 1550 BST on Monday when the attack happened.

Police said they were approached by a group of four white youths, one of whom stole the German boy's personal CD player which was on the ground next to him.

When he called out to the group to give it back, another one of the English youths walked up to him and punched him in the face, before all four of them left the area.

The victim had to go to Brighton's Royal Sussex County Hospital for treatment on his broken nose.

The youth who took the CD player is described as white, with dark brown short hair and wearing a white T-shirt.

The one who punched the student is described as white, wearing a blue T-shirt with ENGLAND on the front and CHELSEA on the back.

Sussex Police said it was "a particularly nasty incident" and asked for anyone who saw what happened or recognised the descriptions of those involved to contact them.
