Woman arrested after pensioner attacked

A woman has been arrested after an pensioner was assaulted in Westbury.

The 90-year-old man was taken to Bath's Royal United Hospital with head injuries.

His condition is said to be stable.

A 23-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the incident on Jubilee Close at around 2100 BST on Tuesday.

Police have appealed for witnesses.

In particular, they would like to speak to witnesses who saw anyone covered with blood following the incident.
