A main road near Shrewsbury remains closed as firefighters tackle a large barn fire involving 300 tonnes of hay and burning tyres.
Fire crews are using an excavator to get to the fire which broke out at Woolascott Farm near Bomere Heath.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service says although the fire is still alight it is under control.
Farm equipment has been destroyed and motorists are being diverted after the nearby road was closed by the county council.
Fifty five firefighters spent two hours trying to control the fire which started in a lean-to and a silage pit shortly before 0030 BST on Wednesday.
Crews from Shrewsbury, Baschurch, Ellesmere and Wellington have attended the scene together with a heavy pumping unit.
