Reward in lorry hijack case
A reward has been offered in connection with a lorry hijack in which £300,000 worth of computer equipment was stolen.

Up to £30,000 has been put up by loss adjusters after thieves got away with the goods.

Police said the hijack happened after the lorry driver loaded his UPS delivery vehicle at a warehouse on the Windmill Lane Trading Estate in Sunbury, Surrey.

After the driver headed away from the warehouse he stopped a set of traffic lights at the junction of Staines Road West where he saw a blue car behind him.

Equipment transferred

The occupants of the car got out, opened the lorry door and forced the driver out.

The lorry was found back at the industrial estate and police said the computer equipment had been unloaded by the offenders and transferred to another vehicle.

The vehicle used by the thieves is believed to be blue BMW M3 as well as a white box van.

Police want to hear from anyone who may have information about the culprits, the vehicles they used or about the whereabouts of the stolen equipment.
