Councillor quizzed on fraud
Graham Powell
Graham Powell was arrested in June
A former council leader was taken back into police custody on Wednesday for further questioning in a fraud and theft inquiry.

Graham Powell, 74, was arrested in June in connection with fraud and theft allegations against one of his relatives.

He was released on bail but officers from Gwent Police resumed their questioning of Mr Powell, who lives in Caldicot, on Wednesday morning.

No charges have yet been made against Mr Powell, a Labour councillor and former leader of both Monmouthshire and the former Gwent councils.
