Aurigny applies for new routes
Aurigny aircraft
Guernsey States bought the airline for £5m
Aurigny Air Services, the airline owned by the States of Guernsey, wants to run a new service between Jersey and London.

It is applying to Jersey's transport authorities to fly direct between Jersey and London's Stansted Airport.

The company wants to fly a year-round scheduled service between Jersey and Stansted starting on 1 September.

Only summer charter flights operate between Jersey and Stansted at the moment.

Application objections

Aurigny is also applying for a service between Bournemouth and Jersey starting on the same date.

People who object to the applications have two weeks to put their claims in writing to Jersey's Economic Development committee.

Guernsey's government bought the airline after British Airways stopped flying from Guernsey to Gatwick.

Aurigny's management argued it would remove any uncertainty over the Gatwick link.
