Man faces kidnap ordeal

A number of people are being questioned by police after a kidnapping in County Down.

A man was abducted on Monday night in Warrenpoint.

It is understood that he was released on Tuesday after ransom money was handed over.

Police said a number of people were later arrested in what they described as a "major operation".

A spokeswoman confirmed that a sum of money had been recovered.
