A man has been critically injured in an explosion at a garage in Camborne.
The fire brigade was called out to the mechanic's workshop in Mitchell Lane shortly after lunchtime on Tuesday.
Fireman found a man in his 60s had been severely burned in the incident.
He has been taken to the specialist unit at Frenchay hospital in Bristol where he is being treated for 30 per cent burns.
Police and the Health and Safety Executive are investigating the incident.
Geoff Hicks, assistant divisional fire officer at Camborne, said: "He was working on a car when the explosion happened. It appears to have involved petrol."
