Two hurt in building site blast
Police say two men have been injured in an explosion at a building site in Greater Manchester.

The accident happened at about 1115 BST on Tuesday at Churchill Street in the Glodwick area of Oldham.

Two men were hurt, with one suffering serious injuries.

The incident caused a localised power cut and the road was sealed off.

Greater Manchester Police say that both the men were working at the site. They have been taken to the Royal Oldham Hospital.

The Health and Safety Executive have been informed about the accident.
