Police issue 'most wanted' list
Detectives on Teesside have drawn up a list of top 10 criminals plaguing Middlesbrough.

The move by Cleveland Police is part of Operation Honeycomb, which is aimed at ridding the town of its most prolific criminals.

More than 500 leaflets will be distributed in the area in an effort to persuade people to come up with information on the culprits.

Drug dealers, robbers, car thieves and burglars are all targeted in the operation.

Detective Inspector Derek Carter of Cleveland Police said: "Our message to criminals is that their neighbours know who they are and that we want them to let us know who they are too.

"There is an element of flexibility in this type of operation and it is intelligence lead - if the criminals move so can we."

"By moving into other areas criminals are at their weakest and they won't be as confident that no one will report their activities - this will put them at a disadvantage."
