Preacher to face retrial

A church pastor accused of sexually assaulting four members of his congregation is to face a retrial.

Douglas Goodman, 46, from Collingtree, Northampton, had denied 14 charges during a seven week trial at Inner London Court.

But the judge discharged the jury earlier this month after they failed to agree verdicts.

The one offence of rape, 12 of indecent assault, and one charge of perverting the course of justice were alleged to have occurred while Mr Goodman was head of the Victory Christian Centre evangelical church, north London.

A new trial will take place on 15 March.
