Tenants consulted on council homes
Tenants are being consulted on the future of council housing in North East Lincolnshire.

Housing chiefs are asking whether the houses should be sold, run by a housing association, or kept in the council's control.

The local authority has admitted it is facing a backlog of repairs.

But it has been given the go-ahead by the government to look at transferring its housing stock to another organisation.

Roadshow chance

Councillor Andrew De Freitas said: "It's very important for tenants to be aware of all the options available.

"The council is committed to making positive changes and I hope tenants will be part of this.

"Now is the time to take part in the decision-making process and I would urge those concerned to come along to one of the roadshows."

A roadshow is being held at the car park in St Peter's Avenue, Cleethorpes, on Thursday.
