Plan to improve 'race track' park
Improvements are being made to stop a Liverpool park being used as a race track.

About £500,000 is to be spent at Walton Hall Park - with half of that being spent on keeping quad and scramble bikes out.

Liverpool City Council says that the park has also been used as a dumping ground for stolen cars.

A month ago an eight-year-old boy suffered a broken leg when he was hit by a bike in the park.

The park is be fitted with improved railings and gates to stop bikes getting in.

Other improvements include work to pathways and the park's entrances.
