A student has been ordered to buy a policeman a new pair of handcuffs after destroying the set belonging to the officer.
Hugh Waddup, 18, ran off after being arrested by Sgt David King during a late night disturbance in Fishguard.
Swansea Crown Court heard Waddup persuaded a friend to saw through the handcuffs, rendering them useless.
Waddup admitted escaping from custody and breaching the peace.
He was told to buy new handcuffs and ordered to carry out 150 hours' community service.
Cannabis shop man opts for trial
A cannabis campaigner charged with possessing the drug with intent to supply has chosen to be tried at crown court.
Jeffrey Ditchfield, of Water Street, Rhyl, appeared at Prestatyn Magistrates Court on Thursday and denied the charge, which resulted from a police raid on his shop premises in the town.
The shop - called It Beggar's Belief - planned to sell cannabis seeds, growing equipment, and legal intoxicating herbs, but was raided within minutes of opening last weekend.
The case against Mr Ditchfield alleges that police recovered two bags from his car, each containing a quarter of an ounce of cannabis resin.
He said he was entering a not guilty plea on the basis that he would have been supplying cannabis to people with medical problems which were eased by the drug.
The case was adjourned until 6 November.
Man cut from wreckage
A man and a woman have been seriously hurt in a road crash which closed the A477 in Pembrokeshire.
One of two cars burst into flames after the collision at Sentry Cross near Pembroke on Thursday morning.
Firemen had to cut the man from one of the vehicles.
Police said the road was expected to stay closed for most of the morning.
Farmer offers £20,000 reward
Farmer Richard Lewis has offered a reward of £20,000 to catch thieves who burgled his home in Carmarthenshire.
Police have said "an undisclosed amount" was taken from Troedyrhiw Farm, at Ffairfach, near Llandeilo, between 12 August and 13 while Mr Lewis was away.
Dyfed-Powys Police have confirmed the reward will go to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible.

Chepstow sex assault appeal
Police are investigating a serious sexual assault in Chepstow on Saturday night.
A 31-year-old woman had been out with friends and was last seen outside the town's Jimmy Dean's bar at 2200 BST.
The next thing she remembers is coming round in the grounds of St Mary's Church a few hours later.

Spanish murder - couple 'suffocated'
A Home Office pathologist has found that a north Wales couple, murdered in Spain while house-hunting, had died by suffocation.
Coroner John Hughes opened and adjourned an inquest at Wrexham on Linda O'Malley, 55, and her 42-year-old husband Tony.
He released the bodies to the family so that their cremation could take place in their home town of Llangollen.
The bodies were flown home from Spain last Friday after a Spanish judge gave the go-ahead.
The post mortem examination was conducted at Maelor Hospital, Wrexham, by pathologist Dr Brian Rodgers.
A year ago the O'Malleys disappeared whilst trying to buy a home near Benidorm on the Costa Blanca.
Their bodies were found buried in a cellar five months ago. Two men from South America are awaiting trial for murder.
Woman trapped in minibus
A woman was trapped in a minibus in following a road accident in mid Wales.
The woman was freed by fire crews after the crash at 0920 BST on Monday morning in Newtown.
She suffered minor injuries and was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital.
Sailor airlifted after race collapse
A sailor has been airlifted to hospital after collapsing during a sailing race in Oxwich Bay on Gower.
A lifeboat on exercise in the area was alerted to the incident and brought the man to shore where there were attempts to revive him.
He had been taking part in a race in a "topper" class sailing dinghy.
He has been taken to Morriston Hospital in Swansea.
