A Stoke-on-Trent councillor has appeared in court on child pornography charges.
Lee Wanger, a councillor for Tunstall, is charged with inciting the proprietors of Landslide Productions to distribute child pornography.
The charges date between 1 June and 31 July 1999.
Mr Wanger's solicitors have indicated he will plead not guilty to the charge.
The 53-year-old, from Ladywell Road in Tunstall, has been released on unconditional bail.
The case has been adjourned until September.
