Man charged with murder

A 21-year-old man has been charged with murder following a disturbance at a house in Leicester which left one man dead, and another injured.

The 42-year-old victim died in the Leicester Royal Infirmary late on Saturday night.

A teenager also needed hospital treatment, after the incident in New Parks.

Police found a knife at the scene.

Police cordoned off an area following the death, but it has now been opened up, a police spokeswoman said.

The accused man will appear before Leicester magistrates on Monday.
