More consultation on Barbican future
Swimming
The public can see the revised plans
Residents in York can have their say on revised swimming pool proposals for the city's Barbican Centre.

Project developers Barbican Venture have prepared the new plans following public consultation in March.

They are to build apartments at the site as well as either a county standard swimming pool, or a community pool.

The money raised would be used to fund refurbishment work at Yearsley and Edmund Wilson pools.

Under the community pool option, an additional £1.4m would be raised, and if a county standard pool was built, £3m would be made available.

Revised details of the development plans for both options will be on display at the Barbican Centre between 0900 and 1700 BST on Wednesday 16 July, and between 1600 and 2000 BST on Tuesday, 22 July.
