Teenager killed in M42 crash
A teenager has been killed and two other people seriously injured in a crash on the M42 in Warwickshire.

The accident, which involved a lorry and a car, happened at about 2000 BST on Sunday on the westbound carriageway between junctions 3 and 3A.

A Central Motorway Police spokesperson said the boy who died was 16-years-old and came from Gloucestershire.

The crash happened after the car the teenager was travelling in was in collision with a lorry on the hard shoulder.

Emergency services from Warwickshire and Worcestershire helped to free three other people.

Two of them were taken to the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch.

Another person was taken to Birmingham's Selly Oak hospital.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
