One dead in road accident
Car crash
A person has been killed in a car crash in County Down.

The accident happened near Narrow Water Castle on the outskirts of Warrenpoint at about 0840 BST on Sunday.

The car hit a wall then caught fire after leaving the A2 dual carriageway between Newry and Warrenpoint.

No other vehicles were involved.

The road has since reopened.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
