Police are appealing for information about the raid
North Wales Police are appealing for information following a burglary of precious stones and watches at a jewellery shop in Wrexham.

Thieves targeted the Ernest Jones Jewellers in Hope Street in the town at around 0030 BST on Saturday.

Officers say a large amount of jewellery was stolen - including diamonds and designer watches.

Rubies, emeralds and sapphires were among the precious stones stolen in the burglary along with brand name watches.

Detectives investigating the burglary say the street would have very busy around the time it happened, and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

They are also urging anyone who is offered expensive jewellery at cut prices to contact them on 01978 294527.
