Candle-lit vigils have been held in Nottinghamshire churches in memory of murdered six-year old Paige Shacklock.
Paige, from Hucknall, Nottinghamshire, died at the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham on Tuesday, after she was attacked at her home.
A postmortem examination revealed she had been strangled.
The body of her stepfather Mark Jones, 29, was found hanging by police.
Pay tribute
Reverend Linda Jones, Rector of Hucknall spoke to the BBC before the services on Saturday.
"Lots of people will leave flowers and they have done against Paige's home.
"Sometimes it is nice to do that in a place where God's presence is felt a little more.
"It helps to go somewhere to come to some sort of understanding about how they are feeling about the whole issue."
"Leave flowers"
Detectives are not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.
Paige's family are being counselled by specially-trained police officers.
A special assembly was held at her school on Tuesday to pay tribute to the little girl.
She was described by head teacher Jonathon Jones as a "bright, popular pupil".
