Officers battle with youths

More than 50 youths have been involved in a street battle with police in Thetford in Norfolk.

A Norfolk Police spokesman said officers were called to deal with a small disturbance in St John's Road at about 2100 BST on Friday.

They soon found the situation escalating and had to call for reinforcements and a tactical support unit and dog handlers were sent to the area.

The spokesman said at one point more than 20 officers were needed to control the situation.

He said three people were arrested for public order offences
