Rogue drivers caught on film
No hands
A driver was seen talking on his phone with no hands on the wheel
A campaign against dangerous drivers has caught a "concerning" number of culprits, according to police.

CCTV images released by Fife Constabulary show a motorist driving whilst reading a book and another taking both hands off the wheel whilst talking on a mobile phone.

Both have been reported to the procurator fiscal over their actions.

Officers have warned that their campaign against motorists behaving badly will continue in a bid to cut fatalities in the area.

Chief Inspector Bob Farmer said a number motorists had been caught driving illegally.

"Recent examples are causing us great concern," he said.

"Since 1 April this year we have already recorded five fatalities and more than 40 people have been seriously injured here in Fife."

The crackdown also snared a motorcyclist who carried out a 100-yard-long wheelie in an attempt avoid being caught in a speed trap.

Numerous drivers who violated the areas speed limits will also be prosecuted - including one recorded travelling at 135 mph on the A92 near Glenrothes.

Chief Inspector Farmer said the operation to make Fife's roads safer would continue.

"Speeding remains a primary cause of many accidents, and we will continue to target it with whatever resources we can, including the use of camera cars, marked and unmarked, radar equipment and the roadside cameras.

"We remain determined that people will comply with the law and stick within the limits."

During June, more than 1,400 vehicles were caught on camera speeding in Fife.
