A driver suffered serious injuries during a road collision in Merseyside.
The 23-year-old sustained head injuries in the accident on Friday night in Bootle.
His VW Golf was in collision with a Citroen Zsara at the junction of Trinity and Pembroke roads, at 1950 BST.
The victim, from the Bootle area, was later taken to Fazakerley Hospital, where on Saturday his condition was described as "critical".
Merseyside Police has appealed for witnesses to the collision to contact them.
