Four people have been arrested in a fraud squad investigation into care homes in Northamptonshire.
On Friday, a Northamptonshire Police spokesman three care homes, near Northampton, have been searched in the operation.
All of them are run by Compass Care and look after adults with learning difficulties.
He said four care home directors have been arrested on suspicion of fraud.
They have been released on delayed charge bail while inquiries continue.
All of the homes remain open.
The investigation is a joint operation between Northamptonshire Police and the National Care Standards Commission - which regulates and inspects care homes around Britain.
The spokesman said the searches took place on 8 July.
