Fresh appeal for missing woman
Lillian Needham
Lillian Needham was last seen in December

Staffordshire Police have issued a fresh appeal for information about a missing pensioner - five months after she disappeared from her home.

Lillian Needham was last seen at her house in the Tillington area of Stafford on the evening of 17 December last year.

Police are now appealing for information about two wooden kitchen or dining chairs which they believe the 63-year-old may have taken from the house when she went missing.

She is described as being white, 5 ft 4 in, of thin build with grey hair. She was wearing a plum coloured knee-length coat, black trousers and black boots at the time of her disappearance.

'New line'

Sergeant Nick Maingay, of Staffordshire Police, said: "Although we have had a couple of calls about chairs, unfortunately they did not turn out to be about the ones we are looking for.

"Its possible someone may have seen or taken the chairs without realising their significance. Our only interest in them is that they could give us a fresh line of inquiry in our search for Lillian."

He added: "If anyone thinks they have seen these chairs in the Tillington area or elsewhere, we need to hear from them. We don't want them to worry about getting in touch if they know something about them."

Anyone with any information should contact Crimestoppers.
