Fire destroys disused factory
An investigation has started after a fire destroyed a disused factory in Leicestershire at the weekend.

No-one was injured in the incident at the old Tudor Rose hosiery plant on Southfield Road in Hinckley on Sunday evening.

Structural experts say at least part of the building will have to be demolished.

"The inside is well and truly gone," Bosworth and Hinckley council spokesman Stuart Berry said.

The 30 firefighters who fought the blaze were from the same watch as Bob Miller, who died in a similar fire in October 2002.

Some of the White Watch firefighters had been raising money at a charity event at the weekend to help Mr Miller's family.

Firefighters remained at the scene on Monday to damp down what was left of the building.
