Extra time to question pair
David Hoad
Police are keen to speak to anyone who saw Mr Hoad on Saturday night
Magistrates have granted police extra time to question two teenagers about the murder of a 24-year-old found dead at his home on Sunday.

The two men, aged 17 and 19, were first arrested on Monday afternoon in connection with the murder of David Hoad.

On Tuesday afternoon magistrates granted permission for the pair to be detained by police for a further 24 hours.

The body of Mr Hoad was found by police on Sunday when they were called to Cheriton High Street, in Folkestone, at 0940 BST.

Information still wanted

A post-mortem examination carried out on Sunday revealed he had died from a stab wound to the chest.

Police are still appealing for people who may have seen the victim in his last hours, especially between 1900 BST and 2300 BST on Saturday.

Detectives say they know Mr Hoad was dropped at Risborough Lane at 1900 BST close to the junction of Cheriton High Street near the White Lion pub.

The next confirmed sighting of the victim was outside his house in Cheriton High Street at 2300 BST where he was seen standing with two men.

Police said they believe Mr Hoad spent the evening in the Cheriton High Street area between where he was dropped off and his home.

When he was found, Mr Hoad, who has dark hair and is of average height, was wearing jeans and a light blue Manchester City top over a long-sleeved black top.

Anyone with information about Mr Hoad's whereabouts before he was killed should contact Kent Police.
