Head-on crash victim named

Police have renewed an appeal for witnesses to the crash
A man who died during a head-on collision near Thame in Oxfordshire has been named.

Gavin Nixon, 37, of Oars Close, Stokenchurch, was killed when two cars crashed head-on on the London Road in Postcombe at about 1800 BST on Saturday.

Two fire crews and a rescue team attended the collision. Mr Nixon died at the scene.

A female driver was freed from her vehicle and taken by police helicopter to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where she remains in a critical condition.

Thames Valleu Police have renewed an appeal for witnesses to contact them.
