Politics Show, Yorkshire and Lincolnshire

Join Jeremy Vine in London and Cathy Killick in Leeds for the Politics Show at midday on Sunday on BBC1.

This week - roads in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire are becoming more and more clogged-up with traffic. So is it time we tackled the congestion by making motorists pay to use trunk routes and motorways and to drive into major towns and cities?

The idea is being backed by the Yorkshire Assembly, but it's brought opposition from motoring organisations and transport companies.

Also on Sunday, we look at the controversy over planned changes to the law which could make it easier for health authorities to get fluoride added to drinking water supplies.

Dentists say the move would dramatically reduce tooth decay in children, but opponents condemn it as compulsory mass medication which could cause other health problems.

Cathy will also talk to Joe Ashton, who spent 33 years as the MP for Bassetlaw before retiring at the last General Election. He says many former MPs face redundancy, financial problems and isolation, and now he's helped to set up a support group for them.
