Eviction threat for noisy neighbour

A Swindon man is facing possible eviction from his flat for playing his music too loudly.

Vincent O'Halloran of 15 Milverton Court appeared at the County Court on Friday after keeping his neighbours up for much of Thursday night.

Police were called to Mr O'Halloran's flat in the early hours of Friday morning, but the music was so loud it took some time before he heard the officers knocking on his door, it is alleged.

Mr O'Halloran was in breach of an injunction not to cause noise or nuisance, issued by the Borough Council in March.

Following his court appearance, he has been released on bail with an order not to play music between 2130 BST and 1030 BST.

He will appear in court again on 4 June, when the council will seek an outright possession order leading to eviction.

It may also seek an Anti Social Behaviour Order excluding Mr O'Halloran from the block.
