An e-fit has been released of a youth suspected of robbing a mobile phone worth £300 from a 12-year-old girl in Gloucester.
The robbery happened in broad daylight on 10 May in King's Square at about 1400 BST.
The victim was sitting with friends when the suspected offender approached.
He threatened to hit the girl if she did not hand over her mobile phone and purse, and also threatened to hurt her friends.
The girl handed over her blue Nokia 7210, worth £300, and purse, which contained a small amount of cash.
The youth then left on a green mountain bike.
He is described as white, aged around 15 or 16, approximately 5 ft 8 ins tall, of medium build with ginger hair.
He was pale faced with freckles and had chipped and crossed front teeth, and was wearing a white baseball cap and a hooded top with blue stripes.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
