Children's festival begins
The annual two-week children's festival begins in Reading on Saturday.

The theme this year is medieval - linking with Reading's 750th Royal Charter celebrations.

Children will have the chance to learn about medieval history, and jesters, dragons and knights will be at many of the events.

The festival starts at Forbury Gardens, where there is a family fun day.

This is the 14th annual children's festival with the main events being held at Forbury Gardens, Prospect Park and Clayfield Copse.
