Breakfast at Wimbledon 2003
Craig Doyle
Join Craig on from 0835 to 0915
During Wimbledon fortnight, Breakfast is bringing you specially extended coverage of the UK's top tennis tournament.

Each day, our guest presenter Craig Doyle will bring you a glimpse behind the scenes, as the players limber up for the day's action.

There's another chance to enter our competition to win a fabulous prize for anyone who likes tennis - a week's holiday at the Lawn Tennis Association's winter base La Manga in Spain.

  • On Wednesday's Breakfast from Wimbledon:

  • Craig met Virginia Wade who is without doubt one of the most loved faces in British tennis.

She competed at Wimbledon for 20 years and of course forever endeared herself to the nation when she won the Wimbledon Ladies' Singles Final in 1977.

  • We looked around the Wimbledon museum and its collection of tennis items collected over the years.

  • And we asked - why is it that Russian women players are doing so well, while the British have all been knocked out.

  • Fitness plan

On day eight of our fitness plan, Kieron Vorster concentrates on developing your speed using a star run.

All the details for this are on a separate page, so that you can print it out as one ten-day course.

    Competition

This week, Breakfast's Wimbledon competition will be slightly different.

Each day, we'll ask you a question. If you get the answer right, you will be entered for the big prize draw, which will take place at the end of this week.

The prize is a family holiday at the Lawn Tennis Association's winter base at La Manga in Spain.

On Tuesday we spoke to Wayne Davies who handled a hawk, what was his name? Was it:

    A. HAROLD
    B. HEDWIG
    C. HAMISH
    D. HARRY

If you know the answer then call 08700 109 771. Lines are open until midday and calls should cost no more than a second class stamp.
