Football manager denies rape
A football club manager has appeared in court accused of rape.

On Friday, Craig Robson, 30, appearing at Northampton Crown Court, denied raping a 24-year-old woman in Daventry, Northamptonshire, in November 2002.

Mr Robson, a former manager of Daventry Town before he left to take charge of Rugby Town, also pleaded not guilty to indecently assaulting the woman on the same occasion.

Mr Robson, of Balliol Road, Daventry, who works as a builder, had his bail renewed by Judge Charles Wide.

The date of his trial is yet to be fixed.
