Bomb attack on nightclub
A doorman was injured after a petrol bomb was thrown into a nightclub.

The bouncer suffered burns to his arm and back, which are not believed to be life-threatening, and the entrance to the Sands Nightclub in Beach Road, Weston-super-Mare was damaged.

Police are now looking for witnesses to the incident which happened at 0100 BST on 1 July.

Detectives are keen to trace the driver of a light car, seen driving away from the area at the time.

Detective Inspector Martyn Triggol said: "There were probably a lot of people in the area at the time and we would like anyone who saw the incident or who may have information to contact the police.

"This happened just before the club was due to close, when a lot more people would have been in the doorway."
