Farmer denies death threats
Roger Baker
Roger Baker faced two charges

A farmer has appeared in court charged with threatening to kill an animal health inspector.

Roger Baker, 61, denied making threats to kill Jonathan McCulloch on 25 February.

Mr Baker, of Ventongimps, Cornwall, denied a second charge of affray at the hearing in Truro Crown Court.

The offences were alleged to have happened when Mr McCulloch, who works for Cornwall County Council, was visiting Mr Baker's farm with a vet.

Judge Jeffrey Rucker remanded Baker on conditional bail to await trial.
