Plans to avoid parking chaos repeat
St Aubin Food Festival
The event attracts thousands of people
Jersey's Honorary police say they will strictly control illegal parking at the St Aubin Food Festival after chaos last year.

The event takes place on Sunday and is expected to attract thousands of people.

Many of the roads and streets around St Aubin will be closed overnight on Saturday and during the food festival on Sunday

The President of the Centeniers Association, Geoff Cornwall, says he hopes to avoid what he describes as the "chaos" caused last year by drivers parking illegally, especially on La Haule Hill.

Park and ride

Centenier Cornwall says drivers will be stopped from parking where they are not supposed to.

50 honorary officers are being drafted in from around the island to help police the event throughout the day.

People attending the event are encouraged to use park and ride transport from Millbrook and Les Quennevais or to use bus routes that will drop people off at La Haule Hill.
