Pakistanis killed in Mecca blaze
Officials in Islam's holiest city, Mecca, say 14 people were killed and 27 injured when a fire swept through a residential tower, late on Thursday.

Most of the victims were Pakistanis.

Ten members of Mecca's civil defence unit were also injured in the blaze, which was brought under control by firefighters.

An investigation has been ordered into the incident.

Newspaper reports say that the fire started in a storeroom and spread to the upper floors of the building, suffocating a number of people.
